Description

Rug Rio from the VOYAGE collection is a handwoven kilim made entirely of natural wool, combining artistic expressiveness with practical functionality. Each piece is traditionally woven flat, resulting in a subtle texture, durability, and softness, while the natural oils present in the fibers provide resistance to moisture and stains. The name of the series refers to places significant to the artist, and the rugs – ranging from muted to more expressive – bring a sense of harmony, comfort, and creative freedom to the interior.

Rug Rio is characterized by versatility – it can be classically laid on the floor or hung on the wall as a decorative fabric, serving as both a practical element of furnishing and a striking design accent. The decorative fringes emphasize the artisanal character of the rug and introduce a lightness to its form. The lower weight of the kilim makes it lighter and easier to move, while also allowing for flexible adaptation to various interior layouts – perfect for design changes and dynamic spaces where every detail matters.

Care Instructions
To keep your rug clean, vacuum it regularly, removing dirt in the direction of the fibers to avoid disrupting their structure, and avoid using chemicals.
Remember to vacuum and air out the rug systematically, and try to avoid getting it wet while cleaning the floor.
Protect the rug from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent uneven fading of colors.
Pay attention to the condition of the fringes and edges of the rug, which may wear down, and make necessary repairs as needed.
If the rug is on a slippery surface, use an appropriate non-slip pad.
To ensure even wear, rotate the rug at least twice a year. Use soft pads, such as felt, to protect it from deformation under heavy furniture.
