How to Choose Billiard Accessories for Your Game Room

Start with how many cues you own and how many people usually play. If you keep a house set plus a few personal cues, a rack that holds up to ten gives you room to grow. If you only need a spot for a couple of players, a six-cue holder takes up much less floor space. Then decide where it will go:

  • Wall-mounted: The Wall Cue Rack keeps the floor clear and sits only 3 in D off the wall. It's a good fit when the table leaves little clearance.
  • Corner floor racks: The Floor Cue Rack and the Floor Cue Rack – Square Leg tuck into a corner, hold up to ten cues, and add a brass hook for the triangle plus grooves for ball storage.
  • Straight floor rack: This one stands on its own against a flat wall. It holds ten cues and has the same brass hook and ball grooves.
  • Round cue stands: The 24-inch Metal and 24-inch Leather holders carry six cues in ring holders on a compact round base, and they're easy to move.
  • Themed holders: The Bulldog, Mario, dog, Texaco gas pump and British phone booth designs double as decor. The phone booth adds a hinged glass-panel door and shelves for balls, chalk and display pieces. The Texaco pump hides a storage compartment inside, and the dog holder stores cues and balls together.

Materials and Finishes

The solid wood racks (Wall, Straight Floor, Floor and Square Leg) come in six finishes: Slate, English Tudor, Chestnut, Cappuccino, Black and Antique White. You can match the finish to your pool table rails or bar cabinets, or pick Antique White or Slate to contrast with darker wood. The 24-inch Metal holder has twelve finish options, from Stainless and Polished Brass to Oil Rubbed Bronze, Antique Copper and Matte Burgundy, which helps if you're matching light fixtures or hardware. The 24-inch Leather holder pairs a metal frame with a vinyl wrap in Brown or Black and is made to match the B54-LTHR series. The themed holders are polyresin, except the Texaco pump, which combines MDF and polyresin. The phone booth is solid wood and veneer in Red or Black.

Measuring Your Space

A cue rack needs more room than its own footprint. Players have to pull a full-length cue out of the rack without hitting walls, lights or chairs. Put racks away from the main shooting lanes around the table, ideally on an end wall or in a corner nobody shoots from. Check the height too. The Wall Cue Rack is 44 in H and the British Phone Booth is 70 in tall, so measure around windows, shelves and sloped basement ceilings. For floor pieces, look at the weight: a 13 lbs metal stand is easy to move, while the 71 lbs phone booth is best placed once and left there. Mount wall racks into studs or with anchors rated for the load, and keep them level so cues hang straight.

Caring for Your Cue Rack and Cues

Dust wood racks with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners that can dull the finish. Wipe metal and vinyl with a lightly damp cloth, then dry it right away. Clean polyresin pieces with a soft brush or cloth, and skip abrasive pads that can scratch hand-painted detail. Keep racks out of direct sun and away from heaters, vents and damp spots, which are also hard on wooden cues. Store cues upright in the rack instead of leaning them against a wall. That helps keep the shafts straight between games.

About RAM Game Room

Every item in this collection comes from RAM Game Room. Each product lists its model number (for example FCR, SFCR, WR1, PCH and R240), which makes it easier to match pieces across a room. The wood racks share the same six finishes, so you can pair a wall rack with a floor rack in one color. If you're furnishing the rest of the space, browse our living room collection for lounge seating and our dining room collection for tables and chairs that work in a game room or bar area.

Frequently asked questions

What billiard accessories do I need for a home pool table?
Most home players start with cues, balls, a triangle rack, chalk and a place to store it all. A dedicated cue rack is the piece people most often skip, yet it keeps cues straight and off the table. Our collection focuses on that storage. Several racks include a brass hook for the triangle and grooves for pool balls, so one piece can organize most of your gear.
Is a wall cue rack or a floor cue rack better?
It depends on your space. A wall rack keeps the floor clear, and our Wall Cue Rack sits only 3 in D off the wall, which helps in tight rooms. Floor racks need no mounting and can be moved later. Our corner and straight floor racks hold up to ten cues and add a brass triangle hook and ball grooves that the wall rack doesn't list.
How many cues do your pool cue holders hold?
Our solid wood floor racks, including the corner, square leg and straight versions, hold up to ten cues. The 24-inch Metal and Leather holders, the Texaco gas pump and the British phone booth each hold six. The Bulldog, Mario and dog holders don't list a cue count, so check with us before you order if capacity matters.
What finishes are available for the wood cue racks?
The Wall, Straight Floor, Floor and Square Leg cue racks come in six finishes: Slate, English Tudor, Chestnut, Cappuccino, Black and Antique White. If you want a metal look, the 24-inch Metal Pool Cue Holder comes in twelve finishes, including Stainless, Polished Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze and Antique Copper. The British phone booth comes in Red or Black.
How long does shipping take for billiard accessories?
These items ship from the manufacturer within 3–10 business days, starting the business day after you order. Once dispatched, standard delivery typically takes 3–5 business days. The carrier and delivery date are confirmed after your order is placed, and all dates are estimates. Orders of $200 or more ship free, and orders under $200 ship for $19.95.
Can I return a cue rack if it doesn't fit my room?
Yes, within 60 days of delivery, as long as it's unused and in its original packaging. Email info@furnetta.com first to get a Return Authorization number. You pay return shipping, the original shipping cost is deducted, and a 20% restocking fee applies. Items that arrive damaged or defective are handled at no cost to you if you report them within 7 days.
Do the themed cue holders need to be mounted?
No. The Bulldog holder is freestanding with no mounting needed, and the Mario, dog, Texaco and phone booth designs also stand on the floor. Their weight helps keep them stable: the Bulldog is 22.5 lbs and the dog holder is 34 lb. The heaviest piece is the British phone booth at 71 lbs, so plan its spot before it arrives.
