Product details
The Idris Console/Desk is a 42-inch solid sheesham wood table with one drawer, sized at 42.01" L x 12.01" W x 29.53" H and weighing 36.99 lb. Its narrow, 12-inch depth suits tight hallways and entryways where space is limited. Hand-crafted in India from a single piece, it ships in one carton and requires assembly.
The Idris Console/Desk pairs a slim 12.01" depth with a 42.01" length, making it a practical pick for shoppers furnishing a narrow hallway, entryway, or tight wall space where a full-size console won't fit. Built from solid sheesham wood and finished in a dark tone, this console/desk gives you a durable landing spot for mail, keys, and everyday items, with a single functional drawer that keeps small essentials out of sight. Sold as a single piece from the Idris collection by Worldwide Homefurnishings, it's designed as a classic, clean-lined complement to an entry or hall, and stands 29.53" tall so it reads as furniture rather than a shelf. Whether you need a spot to set down mail on the way in or a slim work surface near a wall, the Idris adapts to small footprints without sacrificing storage.
Features
- Solid wood construction using naturally occurring sheesham wood
- Hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind design, so grain and character vary from piece to piece
- Functional drawer on wood glides for keys, mail, or small catch-all items
- Simple, clean-lined silhouette suited to entryway and hallway settings
- Compact assembled dimensions of 42.01" L x 12.01" W/D x 29.53" H
- Eco-friendly solid wood materials sourced from sustainable, managed plantations
- Dark Sheesham finish that highlights natural mineral deposits and irregular grain patterns
Worldwide Homefurnishings quality
Worldwide Homefurnishings builds the Idris collection around solid wood rather than engineered boards, hand-crafting each piece in India from sheesham sourced from sustainable, managed plantations. Because the wood is natural, expect to see mineral deposits, irregular grain patterns, and occasional small knots — these are inherent characteristics of sheesham, not defects, and the look can shift slightly with changes in humidity or other severe climate conditions over time. Each piece is one of a kind, so the finish and figure you receive will have its own natural variation from piece to piece.
Delivery and installation
The Idris console/desk is sold as a single piece and ships in one carton, with a net weight of 36.99 lb. Assembly is required once the carton arrives, so plan for some setup time before the drawer and tabletop are ready to use in their final spot in your entryway or hallway.
